TNA Genesis 2012 Predictions

Hello friends! Tomorrow night TNA Wrestling will present their 1st PPV of 2012 Genesis live from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida! 8 matches are on the card so with that let's get down to business shall we?

4 Corners Match for the TNA X-Division Championship: Austin Aries vs. Kid Kash vs. Jesse Sorensen vs. Zema Ion

Should be a fun and exciting spotfest as their tag team match this past Thursday on Impact was pretty good! Could be a top fight of the night if given enough time and if booked correctly. Now as much as I love A double I got a sinking feeling that his reign ends here as I think that Jesse Sorensen is due for a run and while I wouldn't be surprised if Aries retains I just think that Sorensen is the next big breakout star in TNA and with that I look for Sorensen to win the belt in what I hope will be an awesome match!

Winner: Jesse Sorensen

D'Angelo Dinero vs. Devon

Please TNA let this finally be the blowoff to this boring and underwhelming feud please! Of course the Devon family drama will once again take center stage and of course this feud will continue to drag on and on and on and on and on much to my dismay! Anyways look for this to be the worst fight of the night and since I have to pick a winner here I will go with Devon but in all honesty I could care less who wins.

Winner: Devon

Rob Van Dam vs. Gunner

If Pope and Devon wasn't on this card then I would've pegged this fight as the worst fight of the night. Lately TNA has been booking Gunner as somewhat of a bad ass monster heel and RVD has voiced his displeasure over the way that TNA has been utilizing him as of late. Of course RVD is the safe pick to win here but because of his vocal displeasure and because of how TNA has been having Gunner piledrive his opponents on the concrete after his matches I will go with Gunner to win here and then piledrive RVD into the concrete to send him packing.

Winner: Gunner

TNA World Tag Team Championship Match: Crimson and Matt Morgan vs. Samoa Joe and Magnus

Every TNA and WWE PPV has at least 1 match that could be a sleeper fight of the night. Well for me I think that this might be that sleeper fight of the night! Won't be the fight of the night by any means but I think that this has potential to be a solid and strong match! As far as my pick goes I expect the champs to retain!

Winners: Crimson and Matt Morgan

TNA Women's Knockout Championship Match: Gail Kim vs. Mickie James

On the final Impact Wrestling show of 2011 Gail and Mickie had 1 of the better Knockout matches in recent memory even with the clunky finish. Not sure if it will be as good as that 1 but it could be another great match as these 2 can go and are 2 of the better Women's wrestlers in the world today! Very tough match to call to be honest with you guys as this 1 really could go either way! But in the end I'm going to go with my heart and go with Gail to retain by either Madisonaference or some other nefarious means.

Winner: Gail Kim

Monster's Ball Match: Abyss vs. Bully Ray

The stipulation in this 1 is if Bully Ray wins then Abyss must rejoin Immortal. Uh not going to happen as I have Abyss going over in what could be a fun and entertaining match mainly because of the Monster's Ball rules! Had this been a regular fight then it would've most likely had been the worst fight of the night.

Winner: Abyss

Kurt Angle vs. James Storm

No question the match they had last month at Final Resolution was an awesome match! If Bobby Roode and AJ Styles ironman match hadn't blown us all away then Angle and Storm would've been the fight of the night hands down that's how good it was! No doubt this will be a top fight of the night for sure and since Storm has already beaten Angle twice I expect Angle to finally go over the Tennessee Cowboy in another fun and entertaining battle!

Winner: Kurt Angle

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match: Bobby Roode vs. Jeff Hardy

To be quite honest I would love nothing more than to see Roode retain because I think he has been an awesome champion and is the best thing going in TNA today! But because Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff love Jeff Hardy so much and because of how TNA wants to put the belt on Hardy ASAP I have no choice but to go with Hardy to win the belt here but in all honesty I really hope that I am wrong for a change as I am not ready to see Roode drop the belt yet! Should be an awesome main event though!

Winner: Jeff Hardy

Once again this TNA PPV has potential to be good on paper but in reality this will most likely be the traditional and vintage middle of the road PPV! Overall this is looking like a 6 or 7 out of 10 as I expect the main event matches to steal the show as usual, the 4 way X title match to be the fun and exciting spotfest as usual, and I even expect the Knockouts fight to be solid as well! I'm a little iffy on the Tag title fight, Gunner/RVD will probably be an OK Impact Wrestling match at best, and expect Pope and Devon to stink up the joint as the worst fight of the night.

OK those are my picks for Genesis thanks so much for reading along as always and be sure to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite immediately following the PPV as I will have a complete recap of tomorrow night's Genesis PPV and be sure to join me back here on this blogsite on Saturday January 28th as I will have my predictions for the 25th anniversary of the Royal Rumble!
