Hello friends! Tomorrow night WWE presents the 1st ever Capitol Punishment PPV! 7 matches are on the card so now without further adu here are my thoughts and predictions on each match!
WWE United States Championship Match: Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler
Last year these 2 young studs had a very fun and entertaining program on Smackdown for the Intercontinental Championship which featured several amazing matches and this match here will most likely be no exception! Over the last several months it seemed like WWE was somewhat burying Kofi for no reason until they decided to put the U.S. belt on him last month at Extreme Rules but let's be realistic here friends WWE only put the belt on him so that way the U.S. belt could be on Raw you know? Slowly but surely WWE has been somewhat pushing Dolph back up the mid-card and a U.S. title win would certainly help him in the long run! So with that I am going to go with Dolph to win the belt here and where these 2 young studs go from there is really anybody's guess.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio
Just like with Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler these 2 studs engaged in an equally fun and entertaining program that featured several amazing matches of their own and I know for damn sure this 1 will be no exception either! As for who wins well I am going to go with Punk to win this match because I think that WWE maybe grooming Punk for a future title showdown with John Cena possibly at the Money In The Bank PPV next month based on Punk's win over Cena last Monday night on Raw!
Winner: CM Punk
The Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio
For the 1st time in a very long time Big Show is actually getting some postitve feedback based on the great segments he had on last night's Smackdown! Of course everybody knows how uber over Del Rio is so this could be a potential sleeper fight right here! In the end though I like Del Rio to win this match to keep the heat on him going into his future title program with John Cena which I think will be at SummerSlam just my opinion but anyways. I think the only logical reason for this program is to keep Cena and Del Rio apart until SummerSlam because in my honest opinion Cena vs. Del Rio for the WWE title is the next big money match and I can't think of a better venue for that fight to take place in than the biggest event of the summer - SummerSlam!
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Wade Barrett vs. Ezekiel Jackson
Barring an impromptu diva fight this fight right here in my honest opinion will most likely be the worst fight of the night mainly because of how stacked this card actually is! So now The Corre is no more and in all honesty that's a good thing because let's face it nobody really gave a crap about them let's not kid ourselves! Anyways now that Corre is no more that leaves Barrett on his own without Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater and that is why I am going to go with Zeke to win the IC belt here because I think they will get involved but they will help Zeke win the belt!
Winner: Ezekiel Jackson
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Randy Orton vs. Christian
Come on friends you know where I'm going with this! Fight of the night in my eyes because of the 2 previous epic matches they have already had on Smackdown and the Over The Limit PPV last month! My guess is that this will most likely be the blowoff to this feud which is a damn shame because this has been 1 of the most fun and entertaining programs that I have seen in a very long time! Now if that is the case then we all know how blowoffs work 9 times out of 10 the babyface goes over and that's exactly what I expect to happen here as I am going with The Viper to retain in what will undoubtedly be not only the fight of the night for this PPV but also yet another candidate for WWE match of the year for 2011!
Winner: Randy Orton
The Miz vs. Alex Riley
Another fight of the night candidate right here mainly because of how personal and emotionally charged this rivalry is! For almost the entire time Riley has constantly got the best of Miz from beatdowns in consecutive weeks, to winning a tag match against him, and then intentionally costing him a match against Roddy Piper last Monday on Raw! Hmmm looks to me like this is another case of Booking 101 and if you guys don't know what Booking 101 is let me briefly explain it to you. Booking 101 means that when 1 superstar keeps getting the best of another superstar then that usually means that the victim usually wins the PPV match. So because of that I am going with Miz to win but I have a feeling that this feud will be far from over as I expect these 2 to meet again at the Money In The Bank PPV next month!
Winner: The Miz
WWE Championship Match: John Cena vs. R-Truth
Over the last several weeks fans including myself and my longtime friend and colleague Derek Ferreira have been raving over the great work that R-Truth has done ever since turning heel nearly 2 months ago! Even though his matches are still so and so Truth's mic work has been in my honest opinion his personal best which will hopefully lead to bigger and better things for Truth down the road! Now as much as I would love to see Truth win the belt here I just don't think that will happen right now because I am going with John Cena to retain in what I think will be a Raw TV main event at best!
Winner: John Cena
Although the build for this PPV has been very shoddy and lackluster at best Capitol Punishment has potential to be a really good show mainly because of how stacked this card is! I expect Orton and Christian to steal the show once again with Miz/Riley, Punk/Mysterio, and Kingston/Ziggler to be very good undercard matches. With Cena/Truth and Show/Del Rio to be decent TV matches at best and the IC title fight most likely stinking up the joint as the worst fight of the night!
OK those are my thoughts and predictions for Capitol Punishment thanks so much for reading and be sure to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite tomorrow night as I will have a complete recap of Capitol Punishment and also be sure to check out my longtime friend and colleague Derek Ferreira's YouTube channel tomorrow night as well as he will have a complete video recap of Capitol Punishment and then be sure to join me back here on this blogsite on Saturday July 9 as I will have my predictions for the TNA Destination X PPV so until then you know the routine everybody! Thumbs up talk to you all later! YEAH!!! Bye bye for now!

TNA Slammiversary 2011 Predictions
Hello friends! Tomorrow night TNA or should I say Impact Wrestling will be celebrating their 9th anniversary with the PPV I honestly consider their real WrestleMania in Slammiversary! 8 matches are on the card so let's get down to business shall we?
Scott Steiner vs. Matt Morgan
When this angle first started I thought that these 2 were going to battle it out for the #1 contender ship to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. But since Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle are fighting for that position that makes this match a throwaway Impact Wrestling match at best and with that I will pick the Blueprint to win this fight but expect the feud to continue into next month's Destination X PPV.
Winner: Matt Morgan
Samoa Joe vs. Crimson
At this event 5 years ago Samoa Joe had been unbeaten for 18 months going into his match against Scott Steiner a match that Joe went on to win. 5 years later Crimson is being billed as an unbeaten wrestler even though he's only been around for like 5 or 6 months. None the less I think they are building Crimson to be the next major breakout star in TNA and because of that I am going to go with Crimson to win this match in what I think could be a sleeper fight of the night candidate!
Winner: Crimson
TNA Women's Knockout Championship Match: Mickie James vs. Angelina Love
Over the last several weeks we have seen Winter completely control Angelina into basically doing her bidding and taking out Velvet Sky and Miss Tessmacher among other things. To be honest I am a little iffy about this whole thing because there's 1 part of me that thinks this angle is starting to get tired and played out while another part of me is really enjoying it! But I have a feeling that Mickie is going to retain here and then from there I see Mickie vs. Winter for the belt at Destination X next month. Should be a good match as these are 2 of the better Women's wrestlers in the world today.
Winner: Mickie James
3-Way Match for the TNA X-Division Championship: Abyss vs. Kazarian vs. Brian Kendrick
Well I guess the X-Division truly is no limits if you're going to have a 6"8 350 pound monster holding the strap. Anyways this is another iffy angle for me because I am not a fan of Brian Kendrick's gimmick as I think he is coming off as Eric Young 2.0 while I love Kazarian not just because he's part of my favorite stable Fortune but also because he is so fun to watch in the ring week in and week out. So who wins? Well I got this feeling that Abyss will probably win this fight which will lead into that Ultimate X match that I heard was going to go down at Destination X next month.
Winner: Abyss
TNA World Tag Team Championship Match: James Storm and Alex Shelley vs. The British Invasion
For those of you who haven't been watching Impact Wrestling over the last several weeks you will know that Robert Roode was injured at the hands of Ric Flair and Immortal which is why Alex Shelley is taking Roode's place in this match. So because of that I am going to take a chance here and say that the Brits steal the belts here after another miscommunication between Shelley and Storm that will cost them the belts and what happens after that is anybody's guess.
Winners: The British Invasion
Last Man Standing Match: AJ Styles vs. Bully Ray
When it comes to Last Man Standing Matches WWE is eleventy billion percent better than TNA is. Anyways this angle has been 1 of the few bright spots on Impact Wrestling as both men have been great on the mic and TNA has done a very good job in building this angle! Now since Tommy Dreamer went over AJ last month at Sacrifice I am going to go with AJ to win this 1 in what I think will be the 3rd best fight of the night!
Winner: AJ Styles
#1 Contender Match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Jeff Jarrett vs. Kurt Angle
After 6 long months this is where it all ends right here. If Jarrett wins he gets Kurt's Olympic gold medal! Last month these 2 were involved in what I consider the worst fight of Sacrifice along with Karen Jarrett and Chyna. This time Karen and Chyna are long gone and this fight has fight of the night written all over it because we all know what these 2 are capable of! With Jeff Jarrett constantly going over Kurt Angle in each PPV match this has to be the fight where Kurt finally goes over because when it comes to blowoff fights 9 times out of 10 the babyface usually goes over and that's why I am going with Kurt Angle to win this fight and then from there goes on to Destination X to battle the TNA World Heavyweight Champion!
Winner: Kurt Angle
TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match: Sting vs. Mr. Anderson
To be quite honest this main event has potential to be 1 of the best main events we have seen in a while because with the exception of Lethal Lockdown 2 months ago the last few TNA PPV main events have been really bad especially the Victory Road main event fiasco. Over the last few weeks on Impact Wrestling we saw Anderson dress up as the old school Sting which I thought was kinda cool but corny at the same time you know? Anyways Sting has been champion for 3 months now while it's fairly obvious that TNA is grooming Anderson for another World title run. So because of that fact I am going to go out on a limb here and say that Anderson wins the belt and then goes on to Destination X for another epic battle with Kurt Angle!
Winner: Mr. Anderson
Overall this PPV has potential to be better than last month's Sacrifice event which was a complete throwaway let's not kid ourselves! The 3 main events as always will steal the show while the undercard will probably be all bad Impact Wrestling matches at best however I think this undercard has potential to be actually good for a change but we shall see!
OK those are my thoughts on Slammiversary thanks so much for reading along and be sure to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite tomorrow night as I will have a complete recap of Slammiversary and also be sure to join my longtime friend and colleague Derek Ferreira on his YouTube channel (slb200809) as he will have a complete video recap of Slammiversary and then from there be sure to join me on this blogsite next Saturday night as I will have my predictions for the inaugural WWE Capitol Punishment PPV so until then you know the routine everybody!
