Hello friends! Tomorrow night WWE will present their 3rd annual Tables, Ladders, and Chairs PPV live from the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland! As of now 6 matches are on the card with the possibility of 1 maybe 2 impromptu matches. So for now I'll give you my predictions on the 6 fights we already know about!
WWE United States Championship Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Zack Ryder
Personally I was hoping this match was going to be the ladder match on this card because if it had been then this would've been a top fight of the night for sure but then again it could still be a top fight of the night if given enough time. Dolph Ziggler has held the U.S. title since the Capital Punishment PPV in June and to be honest I think it's been long enough besides I think 2012 will be the year that Dolph Ziggler will be in the main event mix and with that I'm going to go with the leader of the Ryder Revolution to capture the U.S. title which would then send the 1st Mariner Arena into a mass hysteria and euphoria!
Winner: Zack Ryder
WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Booker T
Should be an OK match at best but the big question is can Booker still go? I think he will hang with Cody for the most part but in the end I think that Cody will retain the IC belt and send Booker back to the announce table.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
Sledgehammer Ladder Match: Triple H vs. Kevin Nash
Barring an impromptu Diva fight this for me will be the worst fight of the night and what's even worse is they gave these 2 the ladder match and not Dolph Ziggler and Zack Ryder which would've blown the roof off of the 1st Mariner Arena but anyways! Easy call to make here as I have Hunter going over I mean after all he was out for several weeks right?
Winner: Triple H
Tables Match: Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett
There's no doubt that Barrett needs the win more as WWE is in the process of pushing Barrett to the moon just like they did last year! But sadly I have Orton going over here as Barrett went over at Survivor Series and I really don't see Orton losing at back to back PPV's.
Winner: Randy Orton
Chairs Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Mark Henry vs. The Big Show
I think this will be the best match in this series but it won't be the fight of the night. I am fully expecting this to be the blowoff and with that I expect the champ to retain and then move on to a possible program with Sheamus before maybe moving on to the big money program with Daniel Bryan.
Winner: Mark Henry
Triple Threat Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match for the WWE Championship: CM Punk vs. The Miz vs. Alberto Del Rio
For me this is without a doubt going to be the best fight of the night and the craziest fight of the night as we all know how wild and crazy TLC fights can be now don't we? Anyways I don't think Miz will win the belt here on account of he's the longshot in my eyes but I do expect him to win the belt again sometime in 2012. Which leaves Punk and Del Rio and since WWE has no confidence what so ever in Del Rio as champion I will go with Punk to retain here I mean after all he just won the belt last month at Survivor Series right?
Winner: CM Punk
Overall it looks like a fairly decent PPV for me as I expect the main event to steal the show, Ziggler and Ryder to have a fun opening match, with the Tables Match, and even the Chairs Match providing the highlights of the night while I expect the Sledgehammer Ladder Match and the IC title fights to be the worst fights of the night. Looks like a 7 out of 10 on paper but we shall see.
OK those are my picks for TLC thanks so much for reading along with me tonight and be sure to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite tomorrow night after the PPV as I will have a complete recap of TLC and also be sure to join me on this blogsite in the near future as I may do an NBA Season Preview next Saturday night or if not then it will be on Saturday January 7th of 2012 when I preview the 1st TNA PPV of 2012 in Genesis! So until then you know the routine everybody. Thumbs up talk to ya later! YEAH!!! Bye for now!

TNA Final Resolution 2011 Predictions
Hello friends! Tomorrow night TNA will present their 8th annual Final Resolution PPV live from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida! 8 matches are on the card so with that let's get down to business shall we?
TNA Television Championship Match: Robbie E. vs. Eric Young
No question in my mind friends that this will most likely be the worst fight of the night as this neverending feud rolls on and since I have to pick a winner here I will go with Robbie to retain. Personally I don't give a crap who wins just as long as this pointless, stupid, and unnecessary feud ends and the sooner it ends the better!
Winner: Robbie E.
TNA World Tag Team Championship Match: Crimson and Matt Morgan vs. Devon and D'Angelo Dinero
If the TV title fight wasn't booked on this card then this would've been my pick for worst fight of the night. Anyways this is another match that I could really care less about mainly because of another pointless and unnecessary storyline with Devon, his sons, and Pope however I'd rather see this match than the TV title crappola any day of the week! Again since I have to pick some winners here I will go with the champs to retain and for the Devon family drama to take center stage in someway! UGH!!!
Winners: Crimson and Matt Morgan
Christopher Daniels vs. Rob Van Dam
Most likely will be a TV quality match at best and since RVD not only won last month at Turning Point and since he recently voiced his displeasure with his "spot" in TNA I will go with Daniels in an upset.
Winner: Christopher Daniels
TNA X-Division Championship Match: Austin Aries vs. Kid Kash
A rare heel vs. heel matchup here that has potential to be something special if given enough time! A double is the hottest thing going in TNA today and because of that I will go with the champ to barely retain in what should be a sleeper fight of the night candidate.
Winner: Austin Aries
TNA Women's Knockout Championship Match: Gail Kim vs. Mickie James
For the 1st time in a long time I am actually looking forward to a Knockouts match not only because we've got 2 of the very best Women's wrestlers in the world today going at it in what could be 1 of the better Knockouts fights we have seen in a long time but also there is a lot of history between these 2. I mean 2 years ago when these 2 were in WWE Mickie went off on Gail after a match they had had on Raw because Mickie felt Gail botched a move or 2. To be honest this is the toughest match to call as this 1 really could go either way. But since Gail won the belt just last month from Velvet Sky I will go with Gail to barely retain thanks to Karen Jarrett and Madison Rayneaference.
Winner: Gail Kim
Kurt Angle vs. James Storm
Back on the October 20 edition of Impact Wrestling James Storm did the unthinkable and took the TNA World Heavyweight Championship from Angle in a less than stellar match. 2 weeks later his longtime Beer Money Tag Team partner Bobby Roode turned on him and took that same title from Storm. The following week Kurt Angle attacked James Storm in the back before Storm's rematch with Roode which leads us to where we are right now. The only thing I'm worried about is Storm's health because he suffered a concussion at the hands of Angle in that backstage attack. If Storm is healthy enough to compete then we're in for a fun and entertaining fight but if not then we could be in for another less than stellar match from these 2 which would be a damn shame because these 2 could tear the house down and steal the show on any given night. Another tough 1 to call but I will go with Angle to win here but I could see a rematch at the Genesis PPV next month!
Winner: Kurt Angle
Steel Cage Match: Jeff Hardy vs. Jeff Jarrett
Stipulations are simple. Karen Jarrett will be handcuffed to Sting at ringside! If Jeff Hardy wins he will not only challenge for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship next month at the Genesis PPV but also Jeff or Karen Jarrett will be fired! However if Jeff Jarrett wins then Jeff Hardy is gone from TNA! So now that that's out of the way let's get to my pick shall we? At the Turning Point PPV last month we basically got a carbon copy of Shawn Michaels and Vader's WWE Title match from the 1996 SummerSlam because Jeff Jarrett pulled a Jim Cornette and demanded that the match be restarted each time Hardy beat him. Eventually Hardy got the duke after 3 separate matches! Without question the most predictable fight on the card to call as Hardy should win this 1 in what I hope will be a better match than last month's disaster!
Winner: Jeff Hardy
30 Minute Iron Man Match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Bobby Roode vs. AJ Styles
For me this is my pick for fight of the night right here as well as the fight that I am most looking forward to because I fully expect this fight to steal the show! The last time TNA had an iron match that I can remember was back in 2005 when AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels battled for the X-Division Championship during that awesome and epic feud! Just like that fight I wouldn't be surprised if this 1 goes to a sudden death overtime period. 2nd easiest fight to call as I will go with Roode to barely retain most likely by nefarious means setting up Roode vs. Hardy at the Genesis PPV next month!
Winner: Bobby Roode
Overall this TNA PPV actually has potential to be good because of the 3 main events, the Knockouts title match, and the X Division title match. Daniels and RVD will probably be an average TV quality fight at best and the TV and Tag title fights will most likely stink up the joint as the worst fights of the night! Looks like possibly a 7 or 8 out of 10 on paper if all goes well!
OK that's it for now thanks so much for reading along and be sure to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite tomorrow night after the PPV as I will have a complete recap of tomorrow night's event and also be sure to join me right back here on this blogsite next Saturday night as I will preview the WWE TLC PPV so until then you know the routine everybody! WWE Survivor Series 2011 Predictions
Hello friends! Tomorrow night WWE will present the 25th anniversary of 1 of their big 4 events Survivor Series live from the World's most famous arena Madison Square Garden in New York City! As of now only 6 matches are on the card so let's get to it shall we?
WWE United States Championship Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. John Morrison
For the 2nd straight PPV Dolph Ziggler will be pulling double duty as he will be working this match here and also the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match with Team Orton and Team Barrett which I will get to in a bit. Anyways Morrison scored a fall on Ziggler a couple of weeks ago on Raw in England which pretty much cemented his status as #1 contender. However there is a wildcard here in the form of The Long Island Iced Z Zack Ryder as he has been petitioning his fans to sign a petition for him to get a shot at the U.S. gold. Now according to the storyline Interim Raw GM John Laurianitis said that Ryder needed at least 15,000 signatures to get his U.S. title opportunity. Mission accomplished according to my partner in crime Mike Flecha so with that Ryder should get his shot sometime soon and who knows maybe as soon as this event as he could be added to this match to make it a Triple Threat but I digress. If this match remains as is Ziggler will most likely go over but if Ryder gets added then Ryder wins the belt! But in my honest opinion this match should remain as is and with that Ziggler goes over here and then drops the belt to Ryder next month at the TLC PPV in what I think will be a ladder match but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
Lumberjill Match for the WWE Divas Championship: Beth Phoenix vs. Eve Torres
In all honesty I really thought that WWE was going to book the Divas in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match based on how the angles had been going on TV but to no avail we're stuck with another ho hum PPV Diva fight. Expect this to be the worst fight of the night and also expect Beth to retain after a trainwreck of a match.
Winner: Beth Phoenix
Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team Barrett (Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, Hunico, & Dolph Ziggler) vs. Team Orton (Randy Orton, Sheamus, Mason Ryan, Kofi Kingston, & Sin Cara)
Of course what would Survivor Series be without at least 1 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match right? Anyways this 1 has potential to be 1 of the all time great Survivor Series Elimination Matches of all time given the talent involved! 1 quick note before I get to my pick and that is Dolph Ziggler is an injury replacement for Christian who injured his ankle during the tour of Europe last weekend. Now to my pick! Of course the safe pick would be to go with Team Orton and originally I was going to go with Team Orton with Orton and Sheamus emerging as the Sole Survivors. But after watching last night's Smackdown I now have reason to believe that Team Barrett actually may go over here and let's face it friends they really need the win more than Team Orton does! Now of course no 1 has been on more of a roll in these types of matches than Randy Orton has especially that stretch of 3 straight years of being the Sole Survivor from 2003-2005 and add to that another such win in 2008! Should be 1 of the top fights of the night hands down as these matches are always so fun to watch and this 1 will be no different! Really tough to call as my gut tells me to go with Team Orton while my heart tells me to go with Team Barrett. So who wins? Well I'm going to take a chance here and listen to my heart and go with Team Barrett as Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes will be the Sole Survivors and perhaps this could be the start of a big time push for both men heading into 2012!
Winners: Team Barrett (Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes)
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Mark Henry vs. The Big Show
Last month at the Vengeance PPV these 2 recreated 1 of the most awe inspiring moments when Henry superplexed The Big Show which caused the ring to collapse! Not expecting that to happen again here but what I do expect to happen is Henry retaining in a hard fought physical match which may have the potential to be 1 of the better big man matches in recent memory! Also if Henry does retain then perhaps WWE could start planting the seeds for a future World title program with Mark Henry and Daniel Bryan which could result in those 2 throwing down at WrestleMania 28 in a David vs. Goliath type match!
Winner: Mark Henry
WWE Championship Match: Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk
Honestly I'm looking more forward to this World title match than the Henry/Show fight but anyways! Should be for me anyways the 2nd best fight of the night as these 2 can work and work quite well. Got a feeling that this 1 won't end clean though as I expect Punk to win via DQ after interference from Ricardo Rodriguez which will then lead to a rematch with these 2 next month at the TLC PPV and if that should happen look for it to be a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match oh my!
Winner: CM Punk via Disqulification
The Miz and R-Truth vs. John Cena and The Rock
Of course this marks The Rock's 1st match in 7 years and this is the main reason why people are even buying this PPV in the 1st place! To me this has the feel of the 92 Survivor Series when Randy Macho Man Savage and Mr. Perfect teamed up to face Ric Flair and Razor Ramon because of the fact that you have Cena and The Rock teaming up and many people questioning if they can co exist as a team. Should be a Raw TV main event at best and while many people expect Rock and Cena to win this 1 others are expecting Cena to perhaps finally turn heel here and turn on Rock which would most likely lead to an Awesome Truth win here. Of course the safe pick here would be to go with Cena and Rock to win it which I was originally going to do but after thinking long and hard about it and if WWE wants to start planting the seeds for their epic battle in Miami next April then Cena would have to turn on Rock thus costing them the match and giving Miz and Truth perhaps the biggest win of their careers and do you know what? I'm actually going to go that route!
Winners: The Miz and R-Truth
Overall it looks like it could be a very good PPV even though I was hoping we would have at least 1 or 2 more Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Matches on this card but alas. In all honesty all of these matches except for the Divas title Lumberjill match should be good to great and if that's the case then this PPV could be a 7 or 8 out of 10 easy!
OK those are my predictions for Survivor Series thanks so much for reading along and be sure to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite tomorrow night after the PPV as I will have a complete recap of Survivor Series and also be sure to join my longtime friend and colleague Derek Ferreira on his YouTube channel (slb200809) tomorrow night after the PPV as he will have a complete video recap of Survivor Series and then from there be sure to join me back here on this blogsite on Saturday December 10th as I will preview the final TNA PPV of 2011 Final Resolution so until then you know the routine everybody! Thumbs up talk to you later! YEAH!!! Bye for now!

TNA Turning Point 2011 Predictions
Hello friends! Tomorrow night TNA Wrestling will present their 8th annual Turning Point PPV live from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida! 9 matches are on the card so let's get down to business shall we?
3-Way Dance for the TNA X-Division Championship: Austin Aries vs. Jesse Sorenson vs. Kid Kash
Should be a fun and exciting spotfest to kick things off and get the crowd pumped. Gonna take a chance here and go with Sorrenson to win the belt here after a miscommunication with Aries and Kash.
Winner: Jesse Sorenson
TNA Television Championship Match: Eric Young vs. Robbie E
My pick for worst fight of the night right here because we all know that this is going to be your typical ho hum EY campy comedy bullfunky match! UGH!!! Since I have to pick a winner here I'll go with EY to retain.
Winner: Eric Young
Six Person Tag Team Match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship: Mexican America vs. Ink Inc.
Return match from Bound For Glory only thing is the women will be inserted here as Sarita will team with Super Mex and Anarquia while Toxxin will join Neal and Moore. Anxious to see what Toxxin can do in there as I have never seen the girl wrestle before. Should be a TV quality match at best and as for the outcome well I will go with Ink Inc. to finally win the belts here as I expect Toxxin to pin Sarita.
Winners: Ink Inc.
Crimson vs. Matt Morgan
To be honest I'm a little iffy on this match because part of me thinks that this could actually end up being a top fight of the night while another part of me thinks that this will be another bad Impact Wrestling match. None the less I am going with Crimson for the win here as TNA has built him as undefeated too long to throw it all away now.
Winner: Crimson
TNA Women's Knockout Championship Match: Velvet Sky vs. Gail Kim
A few weeks ago on Impact Wrestling Gail Kim made her return to TNA after 2 underwhelming years in WWE and formed an alliance with Knockouts Senior VP Karen Jarrett and Madison Rayne which led to her and Madison winning the TNA Knockout Tag Team titles from Tara and Brooke Tessmacher. At Bound For Glory Vel Vel finally realized her dream and captured the Knockouts title in a 4 way match. Has potential to be 1 of the better Knockout fights in recent memory but in the end I'm gonna take a chance here and go with Velvet to retain the title thanks to Traci Brooks who I expect to get involved and cost Kim the match.
Winner: Velvet Sky
Mr. Anderson and Abyss vs. Bully Ray and Scott Steiner
Should be an OK match at best as I'm not really all that excited about it but since I have to pick some winners here I will go with Anderson and Abyss to get the duke here.
Winners: Mr. Anderson and Abyss
No Disqualification Match: Rob Van Dam vs. Christopher Daniels
Now this 1 has potential to be the fight of the night for some reason as the matches these 2 have had have been pretty good to say the least and with the No DQ rule in effect this 1 could be fun and entertaining to watch. Daniels could really use a win here and with that I'm going to take another chance here and go with Daniels to steal 1.
Winner: Christopher Daniels
Jeff Hardy vs. Jeff Jarrett
Here's another match that I have a good feelling about because their promo segments at BFG and on Impact Wrestling have actually been fun to watch! Should be a top fight of the night for sure and I will go with Jeff Hardy to get the win here I mean after all this is Hardy's 1st PPV match since the Victory Road debacle and he cannot lose such a fight right?
Winner: Jeff Hardy
TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match: Bobby Roode vs. AJ Styles
2 weeks ago on Impact Wrestling Bobby Roode turned heel and captured the TNA World Heavyweight Championship from his now former Beer Money tag team partner James Storm. At the end of this past Thursday's edition of Impact Wrestling Roode defeated Storm in a rematch after Storm had been brutally attacked before the match prompting AJ Styles to come out and call out Roode and then Sting made the match official as the show signed off. Now for those of you who don't know Styles injured his ankle at a TNA house show last Friday night and was recently diagnosed with a Grade 2 high ankle sprain. Now I'm not a doctor and I sure as heck don't play 1 on TV but judging by the severity of AJ's injury this is not going to be the 4-5 star classic I had originally pegged this 1 to be. So with that I will go with Roode to retain here.
Winner: Bobby Roode
Overall it looks like this will be another ho hum TNA PPV as I expect the 3 main events, the 3 way X match, Crimson/Morgan, and even the Knockouts title fight to be the highlights of the night while sadly the TV title fight, the 6 person Tag title match, and the Anderson/Abyss vs. Ray/Steiner fight to stink up the joint as the lowlights of the night. Looks like a 5-6 out of 10 for me but then again anything can happen on any given day and this PPV could actually be good but in all honesty I'm not holding my breath.
Alright those are my predictions for Turning Point thanks so much for reading along and be sure to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite after the PPV tomorrow night as I will have my complete recap of this PPV and also be sure to join me right back here on this blogsite next Saturday night as I will have my predictions for my favorite WWE PPV of the year the 25th annual WWE Survivor Series so until then you know the routine everybody. Thumbs up talk to you later! YEAH!!! Bye for now!
WWE Vengeance 2011 Predictions
Hello friends! Tomorrow night WWE will present their 3rd PPV in the last 6 weeks when they present Vengeance live from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas! 8 matches are on the card so without further adu here are my predictions for those 8 matches!
WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Air Boom vs. Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler
Considering that Ziggler will be pulling double duty at this PPV I expect this fight to be the opener and if so then I expect this to be a fun and fast paced match! A little tough to call but I expect Swagger and Ziggler to win the belts here as I think Air Boom have held the belts long enough for a switch.
Winners: Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler
Christian vs. Sheamus
At the Hell In A Cell PPV these 2 put forth a very good opening match that I considered 1 of the best opening matches that I have seen in quite sometime and just like with that fight I expect another fun and entertaining match and I also expect Sheamus to pick up the win here.
Winner: Sheamus
WWE Divas Championship Match: Beth Phoenix vs. Eve Torres
At the Hell In A Cell PPV the 3rd time was finally the charm for Beth Phoenix as she finally took the Divas title off of Kelly Kelly and now must face Kelly's BFF if you will. Most likely will be the typical ho hum diva fight which will also most likely be the worst fight of the night and if that's the case then give me the Glamazon to retain in this 1!
Winner: Beth Phoenix
Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes
For me this is my sleeper fight of the night right here for some odd reason! The build has been pretty good and I expect these 2 former Legacy partners to tear the house down! In all honesty Rhodes could really use the win here as a loss should and will not hurt Orton 1 bit. But since Rhodes's IC title is not on the line then I expect the Viper to reign victorious in this 1 even though he really doesn't need this win does he?
Winner: Randy Orton
Triple H and CM Punk vs. The Miz and R-Truth
Now this should be interesting as you have the 2 men who have been at each other's throats throughout the summer now tag team partners against a common enemy in Miz and Truth! I am not expecting this to be a technical masterpiece as this 1 has back alley gang fight written all over it! Miz and Truth could use the win here to give them some momentum heading into what could be a HUGE Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match next month! The wildcard in this 1 is without question Kevin Nash and if he shows up then Miz and Truth most likely get the win here! Tough to call indeed but I will go with my gut and go with Miz and Truth to cheat their way to victory following Nasheference setting up the rumored traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match next month!
Winners: The Miz and R-Truth
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Mark Henry vs. The Big Show
As I said in my last match prediction don't expect a techinical masterpiece or a 5 star classic in this 1 as I expect this to be a slow, boring, and plodding big man match! As for who wins well I like the champ to retain and move on to his next challenger which would most likely be Sheamus possibly at Survivor Series next month!
Winner: Mark Henry
WWE United States Championship Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Zack Ryder
Should most likely be a TV quality match at best. Ziggler has held the U.S. gold since the Capital Punishment PPV back in June and I have a feeling that we may get a switch here as Ryder is on the verge of a push mainly because of how over he is with the crowd and because of that I am going to take a chance here and go with Ryder to steal the U.S. belt!
Winner: Zack Ryder
Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Championship: Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena
The only reason Del Rio even won the belt at the HIAC PPV was because of the fact that WWE wanted Del Rio to hold the belt when they taped their weekly TV shows in his home country of Mexico! Now we're back in the States and you know what that means? Expect Super Cena to win the belt again and then perhaps start planting the seeds for his WrestleMania 28 showdown with The Rock next month at Survivor Series when they team up in the big Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match! Oh by the way this will most likely be the fight of the night as WWE almost always puts on awesome Last Man Standing Matches and I expect this 1 to be no different!
Winner: John Cena
Overall I am not really excited about this PPV even though there are a few matches on this card that I am looking forward to seeing with those matches being The Tag title match, Sheamus/Christian, Orton/Rhodes, HHH and Punk/Miz and Truth, and Del Rio/Cena! Looking like a 6 or 7 out of 10 at best but you never know! Talk to me on November 19 when I do my Survivor Series preview blog and then I'll be more enthusiastic because Survivor Series is my favorite WWE PPV of the year mainly because of the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Matches and oh by the way this year's event will be live from my all time favorite venue Madison Square Garden! Need I say more?
Alright that is all I have for now thanks so much for reading along and don't forget to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite tomorrow night after the PPV as I will have my complete recap of Vengeance and also be sure to join my longtime friend and colleague Derek Ferreira on his YouTube channel (slb200809) as he will have a complete video recap of Vengeance and be sure to join me back here on this blogsite on Saturday November 12th when I preview the TNA Turning Point PPV so until then you know the routine everybody! 2011 World Series Preview
Hello friends! Tomorrow night the Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals will battle it out as the 107th Fall Classic gets underway from Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri! So without further adu here are my thoughts on the 2011 World Series!
2011 World Series: Texas Rangers vs. St. Louis Cardinals
Offense: The Cardinals are hitting 288 with 10 Home Runs as a team while the Rangers are hitting 259 with 13 Home Runs as a team! You can really make an argument that both teams are even offensively! The Rangers are led by ALCS MVP Nelson Cruz who feasted on Tigers pitching to the tune of 6 Home Runs and 13 RBI's! In addition to Cruz the Rangers also have Josh Hamilton, Michael Young, Ian Kinsler, sparkplug Elvis Andrus, and their 2 offseason acquisitions Adrian Beltre and Mike Napoli who were also the 2 heroes of the Rangers 3-1 series win against the Tampa Bay Rays in the Division Series! Meanwhile the Cardinals are led by arguably the best player in the game today in Albert Pujols who came to life in the NLCS against Milwaukee by hitting 2 Home Runs and 9 RBI's after being held to just 1 RBI in the Division Series against Philadelphia! Matt Holliday is looking a lot like that guy in Colorado who led the Rockies to the World Series in 2007 as he hit 1 Home Run and 5 RBI's after being held to nothing in that same Division Series against the Phillies! But the Cards have a real Wild Card up their sleeve in the form of NLCS MVP David Freese who feasted on Brewers pitching to the tune of 3 Home Runs and 9 RBI's! No doubt both teams can flat out hit! But for me this is so tough to call as to who to give the advantage to offensively! Sorry I have to rule this a draw!
Advantage: Even
Pitching: The Rangers have an overall Team ERA of 4.11 while the Cards have an overall Team ERA of 4.18! Wow talk about close! In terms of starting pitching the Rangers will have CJ Wilson, Colby Lewis, Derek Holland, and Matt Harrison while the Cards will counter with Chris Carpenter, Jaime Garcia, Edwin Jackson, and Kyle Loesch! In terms of starting pitching you have to give the edge to St. Louis as they have a true ace in Carpenter along with 2 quality starters in Garcia and Jackson, and an OK starter in Loesch! As for Texas well Wilson and Lewis are good but not great, Holland is what I like to call the Mr. Inconsistent as he has been very shaky and eratic at times and Harrison is OK like Loesch! In terms of bullpens well I like the Rangers bullpen mainly because of setup man Alexi Ogando and closer Neftali Feliz! Now the Cards do have a solid bullpen of their own led by Fernando Salas and veteran journeyman setup man Arthur Rhodes who oh by the way is guaranteed a World Series ring win or lose seeing as how he started the year with Texas before being traded to St. Louis at the deadline!
Advantage: St. Louis in terms of starting pitching
Texas in terms of bullpen
Prediction: Alright it all comes down to this! Who wins the 2011 World Series? Wow this 1 is beyond the shadow of a doubt tough to call as anything can and will happen! My gut tells me to go with the hotter hand right now and that hotter hand is St. Louis. My heart on the other hand tells me to go with Texas to win their 1st ever World Series title as they are 1 of only 8 franchises (Tampa Bay Rays, Seattle Mariners, Washington Nationals, Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers, Colorado Rockies, and San Diego Padres being the others) that have yet to win a World Series title! Offensively both teams are dead even in my opinion! St. Louis has the better starting rotation while the Rangers have the slight edge in bullpen! Damn this is so tough! But at the end of the day you cannot bet against the hot hand! Last NFL Season we saw that in the Green Bay Packers and in the NHL we saw that in the Boston Bruins! As much as I would love to see the Texas Rangers win this thing I have to go with the team that has the homefield advantage in this series! Why? Because since 1985 the teams that have had the homefield advantage in the World Series are 20-5 in those series and that is why I like St. Louis to win this series in 6 games and complete 1 of the greatest comeback stories in recent memory! Who would've thought that this team who was down 10 1/2 games to the Atlanta Braves in the N.L. Wildcard race 2 months ago would beat the best team in baseball all year in the Philadelphia Phillies and then beat a team that no 1 including myself was going to be any good in the Milwaukee Brewers to now being on the cusp of their 11th World Series title? Not me boy! Cards in 6 in what should be a very good series from start to finish!
Winners: St. Louis Cardinals 4 games to 2
Alright that is my World Series preview thanks so much for reading along and please feel free to share your thoughts and tell me who you like to win the 107th edition of the Fall Classic and be sure to join me right back here on this blogsite on Saturday night as I will preview the WWE Vengeance PPV so until then you know the routine everybody! TNA Bound For Glory 2011 Predictions
Hello friends! Tomorrow night TNA/Impact Wrestling will be presenting their biggest event of the year live from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on the campus of Temple University! Overall there are 9 matches on the card however 1 has been bumped to the pre-show so that leaves us with 8 matches on the main show! So with that here are my predictions for TNA's version of WrestleMania!
TNA World Tag Team Championship Match: Mexican America vs. Ink Inc.
This is the match that was bumped to the pre-show for those of you scoring at home. Should be 1 of the worst fights of the night as I don't expect this 1 to be any good. But since I have to pick a winner here I will go with the champs to retain thanks to Rosaritaference!
Winners: Mexican America
TNA X-Division Championship Match: Austin Aries vs. Brian Kendrick
In my honest opinion this should be the 1st fight of the night mainly because if you want to get the crowd white hot for the night on your biggest show of the year you can't think of a better way to do so then with what I think should be a fun and exciting spotfest! As for the outcome I expect A Double to retain in typical Aries fashion!
Winner: Austin Aries
Triple Threat Match: Samoa Joe vs. Crimson vs. Matt Morgan
Another match that I will rank in the worst fight of the night category but I don't think it will be the worst. More on that later but as for my pick in this 1 I will go with Crimson to remain "undefeated".
Winner: Crimson
4-Way Match for the TNA Women's Knockout Championship: Winter vs. Velvet Sky vs. Mickie James vs. Madison Rayne
Over the last few weeks on Impact Wrestling new Knockouts VP Karen Jarrett booked what she called the Queen's Qualifiers and in those matches Velvet Sky defeated Angelina Love, Mickie James defeated Brooke Tessmacher, and Madison Rayne defeated Tara to earn the right to compete against Winter for the gold at BFG! The safe pick of course would be Mickie James to win again but in all honesty I don't think that's going to happen as I am going to take a chance here and pick the only Knockout in this match that has yet to hold the coveted Knockouts title!
Winner: Velvet Sky
Full Metal Mayhem Match: Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn
Now this match should be shades of their awesome and epic matches that these 2 used to have in the old ECW! If booked correctly it will certainly be 1 of my top fights of the night for sure! The outcome for this 1 is not in doubt for me as I expect RVD to get the duke once again.
Winner: Rob Van Dam
Falls Count Anywhere Philadelphia Street Fight: Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray
This 1 has bloodbath written all over it as I expect this to be the unofficial "Monster's Ball" fight! Could be another top fight of the night if booked correctly and as for who wins well I like Anderson to go over here and hopefully put an end to this feud!
Winner: Mr. Anderson
I Quit Match: A.J. Styles vs. Christopher Daniels
If the main event of this card wasn't happening then this would've been the fight of the night for sure because as everybody knows these 2 always and I mean always never ever disappoint! Will this 1 be better than their awesome and epic battle at Destination X back in July? Maybe but I'm not sure. But whatever the case may be this for me will be the 2nd best fight of the night and 1 I am definitely looking forward to seeing! As for who wins well I like the Phenomenal 1 to go over in what should and will be another instant classic from these 2 outstanding workers!
Winner: A.J. Styles
Career vs. Company Match: Sting vs. Hulk Hogan
The stipulations for this 1 are simple. If Sting wins Hogan gives control of the company back to Dixie Carter. If Hogan wins then I assume Sting must retire! 14 years ago at the 1997 Starrcade PPV this was without question the most anticipated match in the history of the business as both men were clearly in their prime at that time! 14 years later in 2011 eh not so much mainly because of their old age. A lot of people have gone on the record and said that this fight will be the worst fight of the night and I concur as I expect this fight to be an overbooked trainwreck. Look for lots of interference in this 1 from Hogan's Immortal cronies and from a returning Jeff Hardy as well! As for who wins well I like the Stinger to win this thanks to some Jeff Hardyference and where TNA goes from here will most certainly be interesting!
Winner: Sting
TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match: Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode
For me this not only has fight of the night written all over it but in my honest opinion this has fight of the year written all over it as I expect this to be a 5 star classic because as we all know Angle always brings it and Roode has produced quite possibly the best matches of his career as of late! Of course we all remember Bobby Roode won the neverending Bound For Glory series to earn the right to challenge for the TNA World title while Kurt Angle has held the belt since the Hardcore Justice PPV in August when he won it from Sting. Over the last few weeks on Impact Wrestling Kurt Angle forced Bobby Roode to run the Fortune gauntlet as he had to face all of his fellow Fortune members in singles matches and in all honesty those fights were some of the best that I have seen on Impact Wrestling in a very long time they were all that good! Kudos to TNA for the outstanding job they have done in building up Bobby Roode over the last month or so as they are giving us hope that Roode can win the big 1 on TNA's biggest stage! So who wins? Well in all honesty I want Roode to win and so do the general consensus of TNA fans because a Roode title win would give TNA the much needed breath of fresh air at the top instead of the same old tired main eventers such as Angle, Sting, Hardy, and Anderson just to name a few. I do have some doubts but in the end I am going to go with my heart and predict that Bobby Roode will win the big 1 and capture the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in what will be the biggest feel good moment that TNA has had in a very long time!
Winner: Bobby Roode
Overall this has potential to be 1 of the best TNA PPV's in quite some time! Angle/Roode should and will steal the show with AJ/Daniels a very close 2nd! The 2 hardcore matches should be bloody and physical hardcore battles! The X match will most likely be a hot spotfest of an opener! While Sting/Hogan the Joe/Crimson/Morgan 3 Way, the 4 Way Knockouts title fight, and the pre-show Tag title fight will more than likely be the worst fights of the night as I don't expect any of those to be any good. The Destination X PPV back in July was 1 of the best PPV's in a long time and I expect this 1 to be a smidgen better if booked correctly! Moving the tag title match to the pre-show was a smart move as that should give all the main event matches they time that those fights truly deserve! Last week WWE produced 1 of the worst weeks of TV in recent memory and as my partner in crime Derek Ferreira said in a recent YouTube video this is TNA's chance to take advantage of WWE's failure and produce perhaps their best PPV not only of 2011 but also 1 of their best PPV's in recent memory!
Alright that is all for now thanks so much for reading along and be sure to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite tomorrow night after the PPV as I will have a complete recap of BFG and also be sure to join my longtime friend and colleague Derek Ferreira on his YouTube channel (slb200809) as he should have a complete video recap of BFG and also be sure to join me right back here on this blogsite next Saturday night as I will have my predictions for the WWE Vengeance PPV so until then you know the routine everybody! Thumbs up talk to you later! YEAH!!! Bye for now!
2011 NLCS Preview
Hello friends! Tomorrow afternoon the St. Louis Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers will wage battle with a trip to the Fall Classic on the line! So with that here is my breakdown of what should be 1 heck of a series between these bitter Division rivals!
St. Louis Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Wow what an amazing last couple of weeks it has been for the St. Louis Cardinals as they went from being 10.5 games behind the Atlanta Braves in the NL Wildcard race to pulling off 1 of the most epic comebacks in the Wildcard era to now knocking off the team that many including myself dubbed as the odds on favorites to win the World Series in the Philadelphia Phillies despite being outscored 21-19 in the series. Timely hitting, great defensive plays, but most of all solid starting pitching was what won that series for the Cards especially the complete game masterpiece by ace Chris Carpenter in the decisive Game 5! Meanwhile Milwaukee won their 1st postseason series since winning the American League pennant in 1982 when they beat the then California Angels in 5 games despite being outscored 25-23 in their series against the Arizona Diamondbacks! In terms of how Milwaukee won that series it was really the Brew Crew's potent offense and in particular their small ball which led to their walk off win in Game 5 because the Brewers starting pitching only had 1 starter turn in any quality starts and that starter being their ace Yovany Gallardo! For St. Louis to win this series they will need continued solid starting pitching from ace Chris Carpenter and they will also need solid starting pitching from Jaime Garcia and Kyle Lohse to shut down that strong and potent Brewer offense not to mention production from their 3 big bats Albert Pujols, Matt Holliday, and Lance Berkman who were somewhat non existent against the Phillies. For Milwaukee to win this series they will need continued solid starting pitching from ace Yovany Gallardo and they could also use solid starting pitching from Zack Grienke, Shawn Marcum, and Randy Wolf as well. In terms of offense both ballclubs are almost even in terms of big bats and star power but I give the slight edge to Milwaukee mainly because of sparkplug Nyjer Morgan and Rickie Weekes at the top. In terms of starting pitching I give the edge to St. Louis mainly because their ace Chris Carpenter is finally looking like his old Cy Young self again and if he pitches the same way he did in the NLDS against Philly then the Cards will have a chance. In terms of closers I give the edge to Milwaukee because John Axford has been lights out as of late including converting 43 of his last 44 save opportunities! So who wins? Well both teams split the regular season series 9-9 but because Milwaukee has the homefield advantage in this series and because of how dominant they were at Miller Park this season I will pick Milwaukee to win this series in 6 games!
Winners: Milwaukee Brewers 4 games to 2
That concludes my 2 part LCS preview thanks so much for reading along and be sure to join me on this blogsite next Saturday night as I will preview TNA/Impact Wrestling's biggest event of the year Bound For Glory! So until then you know the routine everybody! Thumbs up talk to you later! YEAH!!! Bye for now!

2011 ALCS Preview
Hello friends! Tomorrow night the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers will wage battle with a trip to the Fall Classic at stake! NLCS preview tomorrow night but right now let's focus on the ALCS shall we?
Detroit Tigers vs. Texas Rangers
Despite being outscored 28-17 in their Division Series against the New York Yankees the Tigers were still able to win the series in 5 games. Now despite their ace and future AL Cy Young winner Justin Verlander getting roughed up a bit by the Yanks in Game 3 of that series it was the surprisingly solid outings from Max Scherzer and Doug Fister along with the solid outings from closer Jose Valverde that kept the Tigers in those games and allowed their bats to produce some clutch and timely hitting none more so than the offensive hero of that series for me anyways Delmon Young who smacked 3 HR's in the Tigers ALDS win including 1 in the clinching Game 5! On the other side of the coin the Rangers knocked off the Tampa Bay Rays in 4 games to defeat them in the Division Series for the 2nd year in a row despite being outscored by the Rays 21-16! In terms of offense both ballclubs are evenly matched but for me I give the slight edge to Texas because of the clutch hitting of their 2 offeseason acquisitions Mike Napoli and Adrian Beltre's 3 HR's in the clinching Game 4 against Tampa! Pitching wise Detroit definitely has the edge not just because of Verlander but also because they have 2 other quality starters in Scherzer and Fister. Closer wise slight edge to Detroit because of how dominant Jose Valverde has been as of late even though Neftali Feliz is no slouch either! Now for Detroit to win they need Verlander to be the dominant starter he has been all year long and will also need their offense to jump all over the Rangers good but not great starting pitching. For the Rangers to repeat they need their offense to outslug the Tigers potent offense not to mention get to the immovable object that is Justin Verlander and they also need their starting pitching to produce a quality start or 2. So who wins? Well Detroit won the regular season series 6-3 so advantage Detroit there. Boy this is really tough to call because my gut tells me to go with Texas while my heart tells me to go with Detroit. Tough call like I said but I am going to go with my gut and go with Texas to repeat as AL champs in 6 games on the strength of their dangerous offense which oh by the way was the key in their 6 game series win over the New York Yankees in last year's ALCS!
Winners: Texas Rangers 4 games to 2
OK friends that concludes part 1 of this 2 part LCS preview thanks so much for reading along and I will be back tomorrow night with my NLCS preview so until then you know the routine everybody. Thumbs up talk to you later! YEAH!!! Bye for now!

WWE Hell In A Cell 2011 Predictions
Hello friends! Tomorrow night WWE presents their 3rd annual Hell In A Cell PPV live from the New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana! As of now 5 matches have been announced for the card so I will predict on those 5 matches but I do however expect an impromptu match or 2 which I will comment on towards the end of this blog.
Hell In A Cell Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton
As is customary with these gimmick PPV's I expect this HIAC match to start the show mainly because of the star power in the other HIAC match which I'll get to shortly. Anyways ever since WWE turned Mark Henry heel back on draft night he has become 1 of the single best things going in WWE today and if any of you had told me that Mark Henry would be the World Heavyweight Champion and 1 of the top draws in WWE a year ago I would've called you all crazy. But at the end of the day the joke is on me and I am eating some major crow right now and in all honesty I'm glad because Henry holding the belt right now is such a breath of fresh air and a much needed 1 at that! Now because of the star power in the other HIAC match I think that this will be the 2nd best match of the night at best because we all know that Orton will bring his best and not only will that benefit him but it will also benefit Henry as well! Tough to call because both World titles have been switching hands like hotcakes as of late and I'm fearing that that may happen again here. But in the end I'm going to take a chance here and go with The World's Strongest Man to barely retain in what will be an awesome match!
Winner: Mark Henry
Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara
For me this is the match that I am least looking forward to mainly because of how stupid and pointless this angle really is! This is to 2011 what the Undertaker vs. Undertaker angle was to the 1994 SummerSlam and to this day I still cannot believe that that fight main evented that event instead of the Bret and Owen Cage Match but that's another story for another day! Anyways my partner in crime Mike Flecha may be all excited for this fight but I'm really not and since I have to pick a winner here then I will go with the Face Sin Cara to win but I have a sinking feeling that this stupid and pointless angle will continue a little longer.
Winner: Face Sin Cara
Christian vs. Sheamus
For me this has the making of a #1 Contenders Match for the World Heavyweight Championship even though it is not officially a contenders match. Anyways I expect this to be the 3rd best fight of the night as both of these men can go and are most certainly capable of putting on a great match! In the end I will go with Sheamus to win this fight and then from there maybe we see him and Mark Henry battle for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Vengeance PPV in 3 weeks!
Winner: Sheamus
WWE Divas Championship Match: Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix
As the old saying goes the 3rd time is the charm and I am hoping that that saying will hold true in this case as Beth Phoenix has come up short against Kelly twice now! The 1st time around was understandable because it was at a neutral site at SummerSlam but the 2nd time around was not understandable because that match was held in Beth's hometown and in all honesty we all know she should've gone over there but alas she didn't! Now it's the 3rd time that these 2 are battling for the Divas title and just like with the other 2 times I am going to go with The Glamazon to finally capture the Divas title and perhaps slowly start to bring back some credibility to this weak division. But if Kelly goes over yet again then this could perhaps be the deathknell of this truly weak division.
Winner: Beth Phoenix
Triple Threat Hell In A Cell Match for the WWE Championship: John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio
While my other partner in crime Derek Ferreira thinks that the Mark Henry/Randy Orton HIAC match will be the fight of the night I personally think that this HIAC match will be the fight of the night because of how great all 3 of these men really are! From the epic battles between Cena and Punk and the great match with Cena and Del Rio at the Night Of Champions PPV I expect this HIAC match to steal the show! Just like with the World Heavyweight Championship the WWE Championship has also been switching hands like hotcakes over these last couple of months and wouldn't really be surprised if we get another switch here. But I honestly do not think we will get 1 here as I am going with John Cena to barely retain in what will be for me anyway the best match of the night!
Winner: John Cena
Overall I think this will be a slight step up from the Night Of Champions PPV but not much of a step up as I expect the 2 HIAC matches to steal the show and Sheamus vs. Christian will be a nice undercard fight but the Diva fight and the Sin Cara fight will be the lowpoints of the night I'm afraid. Now I do think that WWE will add an impromptu match to this card and that impromptu fight will be I think Air Boom vs. Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger for the WWE Tag Team Championship and if that should happen then I will go with the champs to retain in what could be a very solid match!
Well friends those are my predictions for Hell In A Cell thanks so much for reading along and be sure to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite after the PPV tomorrow night as I will have a complete recap of tomorrow night's event and also be sure to join my longtime friend and colleague Derek Ferreira on his YouTube channel (slb200809) tomorrow night as he will have a complete video recap of tomorrow night's event and also be sure to join me back here on this blogsite sometime next week as I will have my 2011 NHL Season Preview! 2011 MLB Playoff Preview Part 2 (National League Division Series)
Hello friends! Tonight we conclude our 2 part MLB Playoff Preview with the 2 National League Division Series that start tomorrow afternoon! So let's get down to business shall we?
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Boy who had this as a postseason matchup in April? Not me that's for sure but none the less here it is! Arizona won the N.L. West from the now former World Series Champion San Francisco Giants with a record of 94-68 while the Brewers set a franchise record with 96 wins including an MLB best 57-24 home record which will make them tough to beat in this postseason! In terms of offense I give the edge to the Brew Crew because of their 2 headed monster of Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun while the starting pitching is even as both teams have solid staffs led by NL Cy Young candidate Ian Kennedy, Joe Saunders, and Daniel Hudson for the D-Backs while the Brewers counter with offseason pickup Zack Grienke, Yovany Gallardo, and Randy Wolf. In terms of bullpen I give the slight edge to Milwaukee because they have Francisco "K-Rod" Rodriguez in addition to closer John Aford who recorded 43 saves going against Arizona's closer J.J. Putz who recorded 45 saves this season. So who wins this series? Well even though Arizona won the season series 4-3 I like Milwaukee to win this series in 4 games as I expect them to win both games at Miller Park and steal 1 in Zona to win their 1st postseason series since winning the A.L. Pennant back in 1982!
Winners: Milwaukee Brewers 3 games to 1
St. Louis Cardinals vs. Philadelphia Phillies
Just like their counterparts in the American League the Tampa Bay Rays the Cardinals completed a remarkable comeback of their own by overcoming an 8 1/2 game deficit against the Atlanta Braves to capture the N.L. Wild Card while the Phillies posted a franchise record 102 wins and are in my opinion the team to beat in this postseason! In terms of offense yes the Cards have perhaps the best player in the game today in Albert Pujols, Matt Holliday who's starting to look like the guy who was singlehandidly responsible for the Colorado Rockies magical run back in 2007, and Lance Berkman who looked like his oldself from his days with the Houston Astros! But the Phillies have Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins, Raul Ibanez, and Shane Victorino and for that I have to give the offensive edge to Philly! In terms of pitching this 1 is not even close as Philly once again has the clear cut advantage with the greatest starting rotation since the Atlanta Braves of the 90's with Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Cole Hamels, Roy Oswalt, and a relative new comer who has taken MLB by storm in Vance Worley need I say more? Yeah the Cards have Chris Carpenter and Kyle Lohse but after them who else do they really have? In terms of bullpens once again the edge goes to Philly who have Ryan Madson and Brad Lidge leading the way! So who wins? Even though St. Louis won the season series 6-3 I have to go with the Phillies to win this series in 4 games as I expect them to do the same thing Milwaukee will do against Arizona win the first 2 games at home and then steal a game in St. Louis to reach the NLCS for the 4th consecutive year!
Winners: Philadelphia Phillies 3 games to 1
Well friends that concludes my 2 part MLB Playoff Preview thanks so much for reading along and be sure to join me right back here tomorrow night as I will have my predictions for the WWE Hell In A Cell PPV so until then you know the routine everybody! Thumbs up talk to you later! YEAH!!! Bye for now!

2011 MLB Playoff Preview Part 1 (American League Division Series)
Hello friends! Tomorrow marks the start of the 2011 MLB Playoffs as the 2 American League Division Series take center stage while the 2 National League Division Series begin on Saturday afternoon and I will preview those series tomorrow night but for right now let's talk American League Division Series shall we?
Tampa Bay Rays vs. Texas Rangers
A rematch of last year's Division Series in which Texas won in 5 games in a series which the road team won all 5 games! 4 weeks ago the Rays were all but out of the A.L. Wildcard as they were trailing the Boston Red Sox by 9 games as of 9/3/11. But then the unthinkable happened the Sox choked marking their biggest collapse since they blew a 14 game Division lead over their hated rivals the New York Yankees in 1978. Meanwhile the Rangers set a franchise record with 96 wins and will have the homefield this time around. Offensively both teams have big bats - BJ Upton, Evan Longoria, Matt Joyce, and Ben Zobrist lead Tampa's offense against the Rangers big bats of Josh Hamilton, Adrian Beltre, Ian Kinsler, Nelson Cruz, Mike Napoli, and Michael Young so in terms of offense advantage Rangers! Pitching wise the Rays have James "Big Game" Shields and Mark Hellickson while the Rangers counter with CJ Wilson, Derek Holland, and Colby Lewis just to name a few so I'll give a slight edge to the Rangers here. Overall I expect this to be another hard fought series just like last year's series was! Kudos to Tampa for making that huge comeback to win the Wild Card but at the end of the day I have to go with the defending A.L. Champs to win this series in 3 maybe 4 games tops.
Winners: Texas Rangers (3 games to 1)
Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees
Now while I look forward to the Tampa/Texas series I am honestly looking more forward to this series not because I'm a diehard Yankee fan but because of the starpower that will be on display in this series. In terms of offense Detroit will have their big bats Miguel Cabrera, Magglio Ordonez, and Brandon Inge while the Yanks will be led by their big 3 of Mark Teixeira, former Tiger Curtis Granderson, and Home Run Derby Champ Robinson Cano and oh yeah they still have some guys named Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter who I heard were pretty good so in terms of offense clear cut advantage to the Yanks! Now pitching on the other hand is going to be a little tougher because Detroit will have their ace and future A.L. Cy Young winner Justin Verlander on tap for games 1 and 5 (if necessary) along with Max Scherzer and trade deadline pickup Doug Fister while the Yanks counter with C.C. Sabathia, Ivan Nova, and Freddie Garcia. Now you can really make the argument that the pitching is even but because of how dominant Verlander has been this year I honestly have to give the slight edge to Detroit. In terms of bullpen wow is this going to be a heck of a matchup as both teams possess 2 of the best closers in the game today - Jose Valverde of Detroit who has converted 51 straight saves vs. the greatest closer of all time and new all time saves leader Mariano Rivera. If the Yanks are going to win this series they need to get to Verlander at least once and if they do then I like their chances but if Verlander continues his Cy Young run then this series will end just like it did back when these 2 met back in the 2006 ALDS with Detroit on top. Should be a great great series but at the end of the day I have to go with my gut and go with the Yanks to win this series in at least 4 maybe 5 games because of their big 3 bats, solid starting pitching, and they have the greatest closer of all time!
Winners: New York Yankees (3 games to 1)

WWE Night Of Champions 2011 Predictions
Hello friends! Tomorrow night WWE will present their 5th annual Night Of Champions PPV live from the HSBC arena in Buffalo, New York! 7 matches are on the card and now without further adu it's on to my picks! Here we go!
WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Air Boom (Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston) vs. The Miz and R-Truth
For the 1st time in a long time WWE's Tag Team Division is showing signs of life after being dead for the longest time. However they still have a ways to go before that division will be as fun as it was back in the late 80's through the early 2000's. As for my pick well my gut is telling me to go with the champs to retain but my heart tells me to go with Miz and Truth to win the belts. Very tough to call indeed as this 1 could easily go either way! But in the end I'm going to take a chance here and say that the champs find a way to retain in what should be a solid opener!
Winners: Air Boom
Fatal 4 Way Match for the WWE United States Championship: Dolph Ziggler vs. Jack Swagger vs. Alex Riley vs. John Morrison
Of all the matches on this card this fight has had the worst and most underwhelming build mainly because of the angle with Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger involving Vickie Guerrero while Riley and Morrison were added for flavor content. Anyways I'm going to take a chance here and go with Swagger to pull the upset here and win the U.S. belt after Vickie helps Swagger and screws over Dolph.
Winner: Jack Swagger
WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Ted Dibiase
Not much build for this 1 as this fight was just announced this past Friday. Should be an OK match at best and I like Cody to retain.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
WWE Divas Championship Match: Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix
No doubt the easiest fight to call as the Glamazon will get her long overdue moment in the sun that many feel she should've gotten at SummerSlam last month but remember when I did my SummerSlam review on my Tony Rants blogsite I had stated that the only reason Kelly even retained was because of the fact that this event is in the Glamazon's hometown of Buffalo and because of that the Glamazon wins this 1 going away!
Winner: Beth Phoenix
No Disqualification Match: CM Punk vs. Triple H
OK go figure the name of this event is Night Of Champions and yet it's this fight which is a non title match that's getting the most hype and build and for good reason as this has fight of the night written all over it in my opinion as this has been the best storyline in WWE right now! I mean you have Punk who is by far the best thing going in WWE today mainly because of his money promos and money matches. On the other side of the coin you have Triple H the COO of WWE who is competing in his 1st match since the epic 5 star battle he had with Taker back at WrestleMania 27! So many things to consider in picking this match. 1. Punk wins Hunter resigns as COO. 2. Kevin Nash's recent "firing" 3. John Laureanitis and 4. Stephanie McMahon. So many scenarios to consider which makes this even harder to call. Part of me wants to see Punk win to create an exciting who will be the new COO angle but in all honesty I think Hunter will win this fight I mean do you really see Hunter losing back to back PPV matches? I don't!
Winner: Triple H
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry
There is no question that the work Mark Henry has performed over the last few months has been his personal best and for that he deserves a run with the WHC! However Henry has been getting the best of Orton on Smackdown and the recent Raw Supershows as of late. Because of that this looks like a classic case of Booking 101 and if we all remember how Booking 101 works Orton should and will win this match to retain the title in what should be a sleeper pick for fight of the night!
Winner: Randy Orton
WWE Championship Match: Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena
Last month at SummerSlam Alberto Del Rio continued the trend of successful MITB cash ins when he cashed his MITB briefcase on CM Punk to capture the WWE title! The next week no big surprise as Super Cena finds his way back into the title picture! Most likely will be the usual ho hum Raw TV main event in which Del Rio will cheat his way to victory most likely setting up a rematch next month at the Hell In A Cell PPV!
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
Overall it looks like a good but not great PPV which is a shame after WWE had produced 2 of their best PPV's in recent memory in SummerSlam and Money In The Bank! Anyways Punk and Hunter will most likely steal the show while the Tag Team, World Heavyweight, and WWE Championship Matches should be solid fights! While sadly the Divas, IC, and U.S. title fights will be the worst fights of the night I'm afraid.
Well those are my picks for Night Of Champions thanks so much for reading along and be sure to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite tomorrow night as I will have a complete recap of Night Of Champions and also be sure to join my longtime friend and colleague Derek Ferreira on his YouTube channel (slb200809) as he will have a complete video recap of Night Of Champions and also be sure to join me back here on this blogsite in 2 weeks as I will preview the 3rd annual WWE Hell In A Cell PPV! So until then you know the routine everybody. Thumbs up talk to you later! YEAH!!! Bye for now!

TNA No Surrender 2011 Predictions
Hello friends! Tomorrow night TNA presents their 7th annual No Surrender PPV live from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida! 8 matches are on the card so now without further adu let's get to the picks shall we?
#1 Contenders Match for the TNA X- Division Championship: Kid Kash vs. Jesse Sorenson
These 2 have had some good matches on Impact Wrestling and I expect this 1 to be just as good as those other fights. Going with the upset here as I think Jesse Sorrenson will win this match and challenge for the X belt next month at Bound For Glory.
Winner: Jesse Sorenson
Samoa Joe vs. Matt Morgan
Could be a good match but I'm not sure given the volatile nature of this feud. I'm going to go on the record here and say that this fight will end in a no contest after it gets way out of hand at somepoint and because of the no contest finish I expect these 2 to throw down in the Bound For Glory tradition Monster's Ball unless they have something else in store for that particular match.
Winner: No Contest
TNA World Tag Team Championship Match: Mexican America vs. Devon and D'Angelo Dinero
No question about it friends this is going to be the worst fight of the night and in all honesty I'm really not looking forward to this match at all because both of these teams are real snoozers but since I have to pick a winner here I will go with the champs to retain thanks to what I will call RoSaritaference if you know what I mean.
Winners: Mexican America
TNA Women's Knockout Championship Match: Mickie James vs. Winter
On the September 1st edition of Impact Wrestling in Huntsville, Alabama Mickie James regained the Knockouts title from Winter after Winter took the belt off of Mickie at last month's Hardcore Justice PPV. Basically the belt is in a hot potato mode right now and could easily switch back again. But I don't see that happening as I see Mickie retaining in what I think will be the 2nd or 3rd worst fight of the night pending how the Joe/Morgan fight pans out.
Winner: Mickie James
TNA X-Division Championship Match: Brian Kendrick vs. Austin Aries
OK let me just get this off my chest before I make my pick and that is is it just me or is Austin Aries TNA's version of CM Punk? Because this guy reminds me so much of him I'm just saying! Anyways this fight has potential to be a candidate for fight of the night because both of these guys can go! Kendrick has a nice little 2 month run with the belt after winning it in July at the Destination X PPV from Abyss. While Aries won a gauntlet style contenders match recently on Impact Wrestling to earn the right to face Kendrick. Personally I would love to see Aries win the belt here because I think he is 1 of the few good things going in TNA Wrestling right now even though there really isn't that much good in TNA now a days but anyways. So with that I'm going with Aries to win the belt here and then defend it next month at Bound For Glory against Jesse Sorenson in what could be a fairly decent fight.
Winner: Austin Aries
Bound For Glory Series Semi-Final Match: James Storm vs. Bully Ray
Again want to get a little something off my chest real quick and that is thank god this BFG series is over because none of those fights were really any good and in all honesty the house show fights were 10 times more entertaining than the TV fights let's not kid ourselves. OK on to my pick for this fight. I like Bully Ray to win thanks to some Immortalference if you will or by some type of nefarious means.
Winner: Bully Ray
Bound For Glory Series Semi-Final Match: Bobby Roode vs. Gunner
Honestly I think this will be the better of the 2 BFG Series matches here as Roode is a great worker while Gunner has impressed over the last several months and could be a future breakout star if booked correctly. As for my pick well I like Bobby Roode to win this match perhaps with some Fortuneference to keep the neverending Fortune/Immortal feud going but I think Roode goes over clean and I would really love to see him battle for the big belt in the main event at BFG because let's face it no one deserves that spot and push more than him as he really is 1 of the best workers in TNA today!
Winner: Bobby Roode
3-Way Match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Kurt Angle vs. Sting vs. Mr. Anderson
If TNA actually gets this 1 right they will put Kurt Angle over and let him retain the belt and then have Bobby Roode win the BFG Series. They do that and then ba da boom you not only have the potential for 1 of the best main events in recent memory and a bonafide candidate for TNA Match of the Year just saying. Now onto the pick. Now even though Kurt Angle was recently arrested for DUI he still is 1 of the biggest stars in TNA if not the biggest. However the only wrestler who's just as over is Sting but I think he will be facing Hulk Hogan next month at Bound For Glory so that cancels him out. Now a thought just entered into my head concering another potential BFG main event. What if Anderson wins the belt which could happpen and what if Bully Ray wins the BFG series which could happen also? Personally I kinda don't want to see that fight go down but sadly I have a sinking feeling that TNA could go down that route mainly because of the recent feud between those 2. So Angle or Anderson? Wow that's tough to call! My gut is saying Anderson but my heart is saying Angle mainly because I want to see him and Roode battle it out for the belt in the main event at Bound For Glory next month. You know what? I'm a risk taker now I know I'm probably going to get burned on this but I'm going for it Angle retains and Bobby Roode wins the BFG series setting up a potential 5 star battle at BFG next month. Please TNA make that fight happen! PLEASE!!!
Winner: Kurt Angle
Overall it looks the typical ho hum TNA PPV but to be quite honest TNA could really use a strong PPV outing to give them a little momentum going into their version of WrestleMania in Bound For Glory. But sadly this PPV will probably pan out to a 5 or a 6 out of 10 at best.
OK those are my picks for No Surrender! Thanks so much for reading along and be sure to check out my Tony Rants blogsite as I will try to have a complete recap of this event but I can't guarantee it right now. Also be sure to check out my longtime friend and colleague Derek Ferreira's YouTube channel (slb200809) tomorrow night as he will have a complete video recap of this event and be sure to join me right back here on this blogsite next Saturday as I will preview WWE Night of Champions so until then you know the routine everybody. Thumbs up talk to you later! YEAH!!! Bye for now!

WWE SummerSlam 2011 Predictions
Hello friends! Tomorrow night is WWE's biggest party of the summer SummerSlam! The 24th annual event will be live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA! As of now only 5 matches are officially on the card with the possibility of 1 maybe 2 impromptu matches! But for right now I am only going to give you my thoughts on the 5 official matches on the card! So here goes!
Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett
Honestly this is a tough match to call as this 1 could go either way as both men could use the win here! I mean Daniel Bryan needs the win to continue his roll after winning the Smackdown MITB match last month and Wade Barrett needs the win to climb back up the ranks and perhaps get back into that main event scene that he was in last year! So who wins? Well I'm going to go with Daniel Bryan to win this match as he is the hotter hand right now! Should be a solid match!
Winner: Daniel Bryan
WWE Divas Championship Match: Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix
For me this is the easiest match to call as I expect the Glamazon to capture the Divas title in what will most likely be the worst fight of the night and perhaps slowly but surely bring some credibility back to the Divas division as for the 1st time in a long time the Divas are fun to watch but easy there Romeo let's see how long this actually lasts!
Winner: Beth Phoenix
Sheamus vs. Mark Henry
So it looks like WWE is pushing Sheamus as a babyface now. Not really sure about this move but we shall see as I think Sheamus is better off as a monster bad ass heel but then again that's how WWE has been pushing Mark Henry for the last few months now! So who wins here? Well Henry needs the win more let's not kid ourselves now while a loss shouldn't hurt Sheamus. So with that I am going to take a chance here and go with the World's Strongest Man to win this match and perhaps lead to another battle down the line but for now I'll go with Henry to win this 1!
Winner: Mark Henry
No Holds Barred Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Christian vs. Randy Orton
Next to Punk and Cena this has been the best feud in WWE today! The matches that these 2 have had have ranged from great to awesome with the exception of their last match last month at the Money In The Bank PPV! Now as much I have enjoyed their battles over the last few months personally I think that this feud is starting to run it's course and with that I am personally hoping that this will be the blowoff match here but I have a funny feeling that we will most likely get 1 more match between these 2 at the Night Of Champions PPV next month but anyways! Now there have been rumors circulating that Edge may show up and help Christian win as Christian said at the end of the last Smackdown that he has a big surprise for Randy Orton in their match and if that is the surprise then all I can say are these 3 words - Mark out moment!!! In a way this is another tough 1 to call as this is another match that can go either way but I am going to take a chance here and go with Christian to barely retain as I think WWE should give him a good run with the strap and to take it off him after a month would be just like what TNA did to Mr. Anderson!
Winner: Christian
Undisputed WWE Championship Match: CM Punk vs. John Cena
First and foremost the best thing going in WWE today! Okay now that I got that off of my chest let's get down to business shall we? Last month at the Money In The Bank PPV these 2 absolutely stole the show and gave us all a match for the ages! Me, my 2 partners in crime Mike Flecha and Derek Ferreira, and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter all gave the match a 5 star rating and for good reason as Punk and Cena put on a Wrestling masterclass and in the process did the unthinkable by overtaking HHH and Undertaker from WrestleMania 27 as the new frontrunner for WWE Match of The Year for 2011 that's how awesome and epic that fight was! Now the build for this fight was not as great as the build for the last match until that awesome and epic contract signing at the end of last Monday's Raw as both men really shined on the mic and said some things that we didn't think were going to be said! The only thing that I am worried about in this 1 is the addition of new WWE COO HHH as the special guest referee. 1 theory suggests that HHH enters himself in the match and that he becomes the new champion and if that were to happen then let the riots begin! Anyways the casual and old school wrestling fans are pushing for Punk to win the belt while the younger fans are pushing for Cena to win the belt! So who wins? Wow this is tough but I am going to once again take a chance here and go with CM Punk to walk out of LA as the Undisputed WWE Champion and hopefully if that happens please give him a significant run with it and also please get rid of that bling bling sideshow known as the spinner belt and bring back the Old School Winged belt or create a brand new WWE title that does not look like a bling bling sideshow. But watch out for not only Hunter but also Mr. Money In The Bank from Raw Alberto Del Rio to possibly cash in and win the belt! So many scenarios and possibilities but all I can say is let's just watch and enjoy as I expect this to be another instant classic! I hope!
Winner: CM Punk
Barring an impromptu match or 2 this has potential to be another great WWE PPV as last month's Money In The Bank PPV was widely regarded as 1 of the best PPV's in a long long time that's how great it truly was! Speaking of the impromptu matches I see Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz added to the card and if so then I like Rey Rey to win that fight and also watch out for possibly Dolph Ziggler vs. Alex Riley for the U.S. title and if so then I like Ziggler to retain there! Overall it looks like another great card and hopefully both World title fights live up to the hype especially Punk and Cena as they have a very tough act to follow coming off their epic and unforgettable 5 star battle last month!
OK that is my preview of SummerSlam thanks so much for reading along and be sure to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite tomorrow night as I will have a complete recap of SummerSlam and also be sure to check out my longtime friend Derek Ferreira's YouTube channel (slb200809) as he will have a complete video recap of SummerSlam! Be on the lookout for future content on this blogsite next month as I will not only have my previews of the TNA No Surrender and WWE Night of Champions PPV's but I will also have a complete AFC and NFC preview as we are 1 month away from the start of an NFL Season we all thought we would never see! So until then you know the routine everybody! Thumbs up talk to you later! YEAH!!! Bye bye for now!

TNA Hardcore Justice 2011 Predictions
Hello friends! Tomorrow night TNA/Impact Wrestling will present their 2nd annual Hardcore Justice PPV live from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida! 9 matches are on the card so now without further adu here are my predictions!
3 Way Match for the TNA X-Division Championship: Brian Kendrick vs. Alex Shelley vs. Austin Aries
This 3 way has potential to be something truly special as all 3 of these guys can work! Kendrick won the belt last month at Destination X by beating Abyss. Shelley is a former X Champ when he defeated his tag team partner Chris Sabin at the 2009 Genesis PPV and Aries who is coming off winning the contract in that awesome 4 way final at Destination X last month has never been X Champ before! So who wins well right now I have to go with the hottest hand of these 3 and that is Austin Aries because based on the way this feud is being booked I really think that Aries is going to win the belt here in some kind of overbooked finish.
Winner: Austin Aries
TNA Women's Knockout Tag Team Championship Match: Ms. Tessmacher and Tara vs. Rosita and Sarita
For me I would probably consider this the worse of the 2 Knockout fights on the card and also 1 of the worst fights of the night because I don't expect anything special coming from this 1 if I'm being honest. But since I have to pick winners here I will go with the champs to retain here mainly because they just won them and I think it would be a little too soon to take the belts off of them.
Winners: Ms. Tessmacher and Tara
Bound For Glory Series Match: D'Angelo Dinero vs. Devon
For me I am going to call this the worst fight of the night mainly because none of these BFG Series matches have been any good and also this is a feud that I really really don't give 2 craps about if I'm being honest. So since I have to pick a winner here I will go with Devon mainly because of his stunning and shocking victory over AJ Styles on the last Impact Wrestling show.
Winner: Devon
TNA Women's Knockout Championship Match: Mickie James vs. Winter
Just the other night my partner in crime Mike Flecha called me up and we talked Wrestling for a bit and 1 of the topics that came up was this match because we are both going on the record here by saying that this had potential to be 1 of the best Knockout matches in quite some time because of how super talented these 2 ladies really are! Very tough to pick a winner here but since I do I will go with Winter to steal the belt here thanks to interference from Angelina Love and by the way I think that Mickie has held the belt just a bit long enough. Should be a very good match though!
Winner: Winter
TNA World Tag Team Championship Match: Beer Money Inc. vs Mexican America
OK the Fortune mark in me really wants to see Roode and Storm retain here mainly because of how boring the Mexican America stable really is. But because of nagging injuries to both Roode and Storm I will relunctantly go with Mexican America to steal the belts here thanks to interference from Rosita and Sarita.
Winners: Mexican America
Bound For Glory Series Match: Crimson vs. Rob Van Dam
To be quite honest I'm a little shaky and iffy about this match because part of me thinks it has potentil to be good while another part of me thinks it's going to be the usual ho hum BFG Series match that we have been used to seeing on Impact Wrestling week in and week out. Another tough call here but since TNA has been building Crimson as an undefeated wrestler I will go with Crimson to get the win here thus continuing his push!
Winner: Crimson
Fortune (AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, and Kazarian) vs. Immortal (Abyss, Gunner, and Scott Steiner)
Again the Fortune mark in me really wants for Fortune to win this match but because of the drama between AJ and Daniels on the last Impact Wrestling I am relunctantly going to go with Immortal to steal the win here after some kind of miscommunication between AJ and Daniels which if that should happen could lead to an implosion within Fortune which is something I really do not want to see because I have really enjoyed watching the Fortune stable since Daniels was added!
Winners: Immortal (Abyss, Gunner, and Scott Steiner)
Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray
For me this is the toughest match to call because both guys could really use the win here. Anderson could use it to get back on track after losing the TNA World Heavyweight Championship to Sting on Impact Wrestling a few weeks ago. While Bully Ray could use the win to elevate his status into the Main Event scene. Really is tough to call as anything can and will happen on any given night but because of how uber over Anderson is I will take a chance here and go with Anderson to barely pull this 1 out.
Winner: Mr. Anderson
TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match: Sting vs. Kurt Angle
OK the build for this fight has been fairly decent at best. What I'm worried about though is that the last few main events Sting has been in on PPV have not been anything to really write home about as they have been brutal to watch. However with Kurt Angle involved suddenly this has potential to be 1 of the better main events we have seen in some time. Another tough 1 to call in all honesty but I am going to take a big chance here and go with Kurt Angle to win the title here mainly because of Sting's new role with "The Network" and oh by the way it's been quite a while since Angle has held the belt anyways.
Winner: Kurt Angle
Overall it looks like a middle of the road PPV at best as some of these matches are probably going to be bad Impact Wrestling matches at best while some of these matches do have potential to be special. But for now we will just have to wait and see.
Alright that will do for it my predictions thank you guys so much for reading along and be sure to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite after the PPV as I will provide a complete recap of Hardcore Justice and also be sure to check out my other partner in crime Derek Ferreira's YouTube channel (slb200809) tomorrow night as well as he will have a complete video recap of Hardcore Justice and then from there be sure to join mr right back here on this blogsite next Saturday night as I will have my predictions for the biggest party of the summer SummerSlam so until then you know the routine everybody. Thumbs up talk to you all later! YEAH!!! Bye bye for now!

WWE Money In The Bank 2011 Predictions
Hello friends! Tomorrow night WWE will present their 2nd annual Money In The Bank PPV live from the Allstate Arena (formally the Rosemont Horizon) in Chicago, Illinois! 6 matches are on the card so without any further adu let's get to my predictions shall we?
Raw Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Alex Riley vs. R-Truth vs. The Miz vs. Evan Bourne vs. Jack Swagger
For me I think this will be the better of the 2 MITB matches on this card mainly because the field for this match is a lot more stronger than the Smackdown match. So let's break this 1 down. I can already rule out Jack Swagger, Evan Bourne, and Alex Riley mainly because they are not quite on that doorstep yet. Which means that any of the other 5 guys in this match could win. I mean Miz could win simply because he is the defending winner and WWE has pushed CM Punk to back-to-back MITB wins before right? R-Truth could win because he is more over since he turned heel back in April and his mic work continues to get better and funnier week in and week out! Personally I would like to see Kofi Kingston win this match because he is the most underrated and underutilized worker in this match and no one other than John Morrison is more deserving of a main event push than Kofi! However my 2 favorites to win this match are Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio. Mysterio because he has been World Heavyweight Champion twice and is most certainly capable of a WWE title run in the future! But as great as these 7 guys are they are not as great as Alberto Del Rio who I am picking to win this match and either cash in on the winner of the WWE Title match or maybe he could pull an RVD from 2006 and cash in for an actual match against John Cena or CM Punk at SummerSlam. Let's not kid ourselves here friends Del Rio is 1 of the most over heels in WWE today and even though he hasn't done much since being drafted to Raw I think this will be the restart of his megapush and hopefully this will lead to him winning the belt either at this PPV or at SummerSlam next month!
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
The Big Show vs. Mark Henry
Normally big man matches make me cringe but lately the big man matches on TV have actually been pretty good which gives me hope for this big man match! I mean the build for this match has been actually very good and it actually makes me look forward to this fight! Because of how stacked this card is this will be probably be the 2nd worst fight of the night but I think this has potential to be another fairly decent big man match! As for who wins well I am going to take a chance here and go with Mark Henry to win it mainly because I think he needs the win more and I think Show will be OK even with the loss.
Winner: Mark Henry
Smackdown Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Kane vs. Sin Cara vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Justin Gabriel vs. Heath Slater vs. Sheamus
Even though the Raw match has the better field doesn't necessarily mean that this fight won't be any good because I think that this MITB match and the Raw MITB match will both be fun and entertaining to watch! OK now let's break this 1 down! I can already rule out Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Cody Rhodes, Daniel Bryan, and Sin Cara because Slater and Gabriel are going to be feuding with each other and Rhodes, Bryan, and Sin Cara will more than likely be in the Intercontinental title picture with Big Zeke and Ted Dibiase. Which only leaves Kane, Wade Barrett, and Sheamus as my favorites to win this match. Kane could win because like Miz on the Raw side he is the defending winner and oh by the way cashed in the briefcase later on in the night and won the World Heavyweight Championship! Wade Barrett could win because lately WWE has been starting to build him up again as a legitimate main event talent and is most certainly capable of a World title run in the future. But I am not going with any of those guys because I am going with Sheamus to win this fight because right now he is the only 1 who is currently involved in the World title picture and I would not be surprised if we see Sheamus cash in on the winner of the World Heavyweight title match thus making him the new World Heavyweight Champion and most likely setting up either another program with Randy Orton or maybe a Triple Threat with Christian at SummerSlam next month!
Winner: Sheamus
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Randy Orton vs. Christian
Before I preview this fight let me just remind you guys the stipulations for this fight and that is if Randy Orton gets disqualified or if the referee makes a "bad call" then Christian automatically wins the World Heavyweight Championship! OK now every match these 2 have had since this epic program started 2 months ago have all been good to great and I expect this match to be no different! Just the other day my partner in crime Mike Flecha informed me that Orton has garnered some major backstage heat over comments Orton made on a Radio show 2 weeks ago and that could cost Orton the belt here! While Christian has been doing an outstanding job in his new heel character and maybe the best heel work in his career! So who wins? Well even with all the backstage heat on him I am still going to go with Randy Orton to barely retain in what will be another great match from these 2 but watch out for Sheamus or whoever wins the Smackdown MITB match for that matter to cash in on Orton and steal the World Heavyweight Championship setting up a program with Orton at SummerSlam next month!
Winner: Randy Orton (but soon after Sheamus or other MITB winner)
WWE Divas Championship Match: Kelly Kelly vs. Brie Bella
No big surprise here as I think this will most likely be the worst fight of the night because not only are both of these Divas green as grass but also WWE does not give the Divas enough time for their matches. OK now that I got that off my chest, based on the events of last Monday's Raw I honestly thought that this was now going to become a Fatal 4 Way Match with Eve Torres and Nikki Bella as well but for now it remains a 1-on-1 fight but I wouldn't be surprised if we were to get a 4 Way here! But whether it's a 1-on-1 or a 4 Way I am still picking Kelly to retain here mainly because I think it's still too soon for her to drop the belt.
Winner: Kelly Kelly
WWE Championship Match: John Cena vs. CM Punk
Before I give you my preview for this fight let me give you the stipulations for this fight. If CM Punk wins the belt John Cena will be fired! OK now to the most anticipated WWE Title fight in quite some time! With all the drama and intrigue this match has more of a WrestleMania or big 4 PPV feel! But for WWE to have a match with such drama and intrigue headlining a non major PPV wow that is huge and could be a big time shot in the arm for WWE! Of course we all know that Punk's contract expires at Midnight and WWE is making a last ditch effort to resign him which I hope they do because if Punk really does leave then that is another huge blow for WWE as they have already lost Edge to retirement this year and for them to lose another money talent in CM Punk would be devastating because I am a HUGE Punk mark! Of course we have been down this road before in the case of John Cena back at last year's Survivor Series as part of the Nexus angle! So the big question is would WWE be crazy enough to pull the trigger on this again? Personally I am not sure but I will say this - this has been 1 of the hottest builds and angles we have seen in a long time and I will be very upset and disappointed if we do not get a big time payoff here! So in order for that to happen then Punk will have to win the belt and then have Alberto Del Rio or whoever wins the MITB match cash in on Punk and take the belt off of him! But as long as John Cena is still around and as long as John Cena is the champ I really cannot see WWE taking the belt off of him right now! But make no mistake about it friends no matter the outcome of this fight I am fully expecting this fight to be the clear choice for fight of the night!
Winner: John Cena
Overall this PPV has the potential to be the best WWE PPV since Extreme Rules back in May because the last 2 WWE PPV's really bombed if I'm being honest! The Cena/Punk main event will most likely be the show stealer and I also expect the Orton/Christian World title fight and both MITB matches to really deliver as well! Show and Henry has potential to be a very good big man match while sadly the Diva title fight will most likely stink up the joint as the worst fight of the night sorry to say!
OK friends those are my predictions for Money In The Bank thanks so much for reading and be sure to join me on my Tony Rants blogsite tomorrow night as I will have a complete recap of MITB and also be sure to join my other partner in crime Derek Ferreira on his YouTube channel (slb200809) tomorrow night as well as he will have a complete video recap of MITB and also be sure to join me back here on this blogsite on Saturday August 6th as I will have my predicitons for the TNA Hardcore Justice PPV so until then you know the routine everybody! Thumbs up talk to you all later! YEAH!!! Bye bye for now!
